1. General terms

ACCEO is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of personal information, particularly information that could be used to identify you. The present document is a statement of our general policy and processes governing the methods that enable us to collect, retain, use and disclose personal information as part of our operations and deliver functionalities and services associated with the SnapX application (the “Application” and the “Services”).

Our procedures and our processes are designed in order to comply with the regulations and principles established by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) and the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec).

ACCEO can modify the present privacy policy without notice in order to comply with the laws and regulations in this respect which could be adopted by the legislator or to comply with new ACCEO privacy policies.

2. Protection of personal information

General terms

In general, no personal information will be collected, used, disclosed or retained without your consent.

ACCEO will use, process and disclose the information collected by users and provided to SnapX as part of the services and use of the application for the purpose of delivering services only. In this context, we act as a service supplier, and we will retain and process the personal information concerning your customers and your users on your behalf securely, in accordance with the present policy. The use, processing and disclosure of personal information collected by our customers and our users is also subject to their applicable policies which, in all cases, will be limited to the delivery of goods and services provided and to the other purposes identified at the time of or after the information is collected, and to which the individuals concerned have consented.

SnapX does not collect any personal information directly, except for the information that you provide voluntarily when you create a user account, open a support ticket, send us an email, participate in a survey or complete an online form. The personal information submitted directly to SnapX will only be used to provide you with the services that you need, rapidly process your transactions, meet your specific needs, including answering your questions and responding to your requests for information, as well as any other specific purpose stated when the information is gathered, and cannot be disclosed to third parties, except in cases expressly provided in the present document.

Consent

When you voluntarily submit personal information to ACCEO and to users of the application, you consent to the collection, disclosure and use of such information for the purposes stated at that time. If ACCEO or users of the application want to use this personal information for purposes other than those stated at the time of collection, ACCEO will obtain the consent of the appropriate person before this personal information is used for these new purposes.

Retention and security measures

We retain the personal information as long as necessary for the purposes specified when it is collected, as required by users of the application in accordance with ACCEO’s policies or as required by law.

ACCEO implements and applies physical and electronic security measures and appropriate procedures in order to protect personal information against loss or theft, as well as any unauthorized access, disclosure, copy, use or modification. ACCEO’s security measures include encrypted transmission via SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology, management of access rights on a selective basis and secure storage installations located in the province of Quebec, Canada.

3. Disclosure of personal information

Our ACCEO Solutions SMB business unit complies with the requirements to which it is subject under the applicable Canadian and Quebec laws governing the protection of personal information. To this end, your personal information will not be communicated to third parties other than in accordance with the present privacy policy, except as required or authorized by law, or as ordered by a competent court.

However, it is possible that certain information collected is exchanged with other units of ACCEO Solutions Inc. in the cases mentioned below:

  1. Your personal information could be used by a member of our business unit or any other business unit of ACCEO Solutions Inc. to carry out a targeted promotion of its products and services to the extent where you have enrolled in one of its customer loyalty programs. Only authorized staff members of our business unit or any other ACCEO Solutions Inc. business unit, and our service suppliers who actually need to know such information to perform their duties, will have access to the file containing your personal information, which will be kept in our offices, on our servers or those of our service suppliers.
  2. It is also possible that certain personal information about you and your customers, subject to the application of the act, be communicated to external partners in order to complete our delivery of services to you under the terms of the present agreement. This information will be limited to what is required to perform and invoice the services that ACCEO has committed to providing you. You acknowledge and declare being informed of this situation and accept the communication and transmission of this information by the ACCEO business unit to an external stakeholder as part of the present business relationship, to the extent where the transmission and communication is conducted in a secure and confidential manner.
  3. Note that when the information has been transferred to an external partner, neither the ACCEO business unit nor ACCEO is responsible for how this partner, or a third party, processes this information in the course of its activities.

4. Non-personal information

Solicitation of comments: We can solicit your comments on your experience with using SnapX and the present website. If you contact ACCEO Solutions Inc. or one of our representatives by telephone or by chat, the conversation may be recorded for purposes of evaluating the quality of SMB Solutions services or to protect both parties in the event of a dispute. Note that the content of these conversations will be kept in a secure place and only the authorized representatives of ACCEO will have access to it for the above-mentioned purposes.

Cookies: We use cookies in order to personalize the website for returning visitors. These cookies remain on your computer and are recovered automatically when you make subsequent visits to the website. Cookies only contain information on the type of customer and the pages frequently visited by the customer. No other information is stored in the cookies. You can deactivate the cookies on your computer. Deactivating cookies may influence the functionality of the website, as well as its interconnection with our Acomba and Avantage applications for the user. Visitors who have deactivated the processing of cookies will not be able to enjoy all the benefits of our site.

Log files: ACCEO Solutions Inc. also keeps standard web log files. These logs record data on all visitors to downloading or registration pages. The logs may contain: (i) the Internet domain from which you access the website, (ii) your IP address (when you browse the Internet, your computer is automatically attributed an IP address, which is either static or dynamic: a static IP address can be used to identify you, while a dynamic address generally cannot), (iii) the type of browser and operating system that you use, (iv) the date and time of your visit to the site, (v) the pages that you looked at on the website, (vi) the address of the website from which you connected.

5. Unsecure communications

Comments on discussion forums, bulletin boards and blogs are visible by other users. These sections can be consulted by the general public. Please make a note of this fact when you display personal information in these sections.

6. Access, rectifications and complaints

We will process written inquiries in accordance with applicable laws. If you demonstrate that personal information is inaccurate or incomplete, we will make the required modifications. According to the nature of the information, the modifications could contain the correction, deletion or addition of information.

We will examine all complaints. If a complaint is well-founded, we will take the appropriate measures including, if applicable, the modification of our policies and practices and the correction of your personal information.
